Great teacher, very friendly! Dr. Perlow keeps it fascinating & fun. Very considerate. If you have a problem just come to her office and she can help you out. The work is simple. Doesnt try to trick you with the exam, Straight foward. No homework but you do have to do the reading for the exams. |

Summer 1 session... Very loud! do not sit in front, she is passionate about what she teaches and that comes across in many ways, volume is one of them. fascinating class, very useful information about about world; thought provoking.. Not too much homework, but be prepared to read through all projects/readings given and have thought about it |

She's okay at great. She's very disorganized, and by the end of the semester she had us get into groups and explain the chapters..every class. I didn't pay to have students teach me! She tries to be open, but when she's "right", forget what you think! All you have to do is read the text and you'll pass. Not challenging or inviting. Pass if you can. |

Dr. Perlow is a great teacher, I just finished her summer semester today and was surprised to see all of the negative reviews. Do not listen to these reviews as they are totally inaccurate. I liked this class and plan on taking another one of her courses in the future. Great introduction to sociology and class was never dull. |

Overall this class was just like her courses, a complete delay. I only learned from the readings. Her courses are all over the place and the time was there, just not the effort!!! |

I agree that she was passionate, but it takes more than passion to teach. I learned everything from the readings that she assigned, not her. Her courses were all over the place. Forming your own views about anything was not allowed. Unfortunately, I was completely unimpressed with her teaching style. What a waist of my valuable time. |

Dr. Perlow is an amazing teacher. She is so passionate and knowledgable about the topics that are discussed. I can honestly say that I learned a ton in her class and if you keep up with the readings and are able to write a decent paper there is no reason you should get anything less than a B |

Dr. Perlow is a great teacher. She is very interested in her field, she is very knowledgeable and accommodating. If it wasn't for her class i would have changed my major. Dr Perlow does focus predominantly on the malfunctions of society so some conservatives can feel uncomfortable. Take her if you want to be challenged !!!! |
