Dr. Hunt packs a great deal of information in her multi-cultural lit class. I did very well because I took copious notes and typed them up for exams. She allowed notes and gave study guides, but expects you to write volumes. Reading load is simple, but I tended to re-read the short stories several times for great recall. Friendly, cheerful prof.
Took 2 courses with this prof and have realized she is a formulaic prof-meaning that once I figured out how to do things the way she wanted, my grade went way up. Come to class, listen to what she has to say and take notes only about what she goes over. I read less than half of the works but she goes over them page by page! And write a lot on exams
difficult grader! Whenever you write a paper in Multi Cult lit be sure to cater to her ideologies and views of how the world works and you'll get an A. Not my cup of tea....
Very rough grader. Her expectations are very high to satisfy, and she is very narrow-minded. Her opinion is the only one that seemed to matter in this analytical english class where I felt it was more important for the student to form their own ideas.
She is in effect a cheery fun person to be around; however, her comments on exams and papers are narrow minded and unimpartial. On one of my papers she actually wrote that my idea and opinions were unimpartial! how dare she judge my perspective and not the quality itself! IF YOU TAKE HER, TAKE GREAT NOTES OR MAKE A great FRIEND!
Don't mistake her cheery disposition for an simple grader. She makes you read and write A LOT. You have to read the assigned work and take notes in order to do somewhat well on her exams. She will make you work. |
