Very opinionated but has so many great ideas about teaching. I enjoyed the discussion we had in class. He really does care about education and that is definitely very refreshing! |

Personally, I liked this class and this teacher. He does like to hear himself talk but he means well. He's very passionate about education and he wants you to be too! He's fascinating, so I didnt mind hearing him talk. |

He is verbose, but captivates. He has a lot of knowledge to give and it may not bother me as much as others because I agree with most of his opinions. This class made me want to teach again, my other courses only made me afraid. Take the opportunity to really think about teaching and HOW you will teach. |

I was ready to quit my NEU grad program then I got this prof.- He fired me up! He gave great resources and made me think about why I want to teach and what I should teach. He encourages student voice and purposeful teaching. I read the other comments. Get a backbone -take or leave his opinions and listen to what he knows about eucation. |

Don't buy all the YA novels listed until *your* class settles on which ones you'll need + you can get a lot of them from the library. Class discussions suffered because he is SO opinionated and verbose--it got really annoying by the end of the semester. Still, he cares a great deal about the subject, and has some great ideas to share. |
