A solid prof. who wants his students to succeed. I asked him a question about something outside the scope of the class, and he was friendly enough to print out a chapter of a book from his own collection for me. Gave us a lot of prep for the final, which is always appreciated.
Maybe it was just the specific course that he taught, but he didn't do it well. I felt that he didn't really teach, but instead talked about a subject he already knew well to people who didn't. Impossible to take notes, just brings in program examples and projects them on a screen. When it comes time to go home and do the assignment you are lost.
Sotak Rules! I've had him for many courses. He is very down to Earth. Acknowledges students concerns. Also, gives many examples. There are only two exams, an ASP.NET project, and very little homework. impartial prof., humorous, gives out great examples, will slow down for the people who don't know the material well, and helps you succeed. A+
outstanding prof.. Does a lot of examples to help clarify topics. This is not an "simple" class though, you will be expected to do some work but it's definitely worth it. Ha, he's got a sense of humor too. YOU WILL ACTUALLY LEARN! Definitely recommended for those interested/majoring in CS, I'd take another class with him if I could.
Absent-minded and absent-classed (cancelled multiple courses). Seemed unprepared this semester (things got sent to email about an hour before class) and fumbled demonstrations. Class should have had more lab time, but none was had. Class really didn't get going until the second half, then things were due. Sad because I expected a better class.
outstanding Really accommodating. helped us get our project published. |
