Great prof.! Does a great job at teaching a difficult subject. Always has his office door open if you have any questions. Really cares about his students, wants to see everyone pass. Curves his exam like no other.
I found his method of teaching to be lazy and very difficult to understand. He seriously thought that we preferred his way of teaching over Dr. Mataka's. I would never take another class with him again...ever!
You can tell this man knows his things, but has a had time trying to teach. He teaches in a way that only he understands because he is a chem teacher.... But he is always willing to help, very available and curves due to the very difficult material... Would I take him again probably not... is he difficult no
Be warned- Prof. Nicholson's teaching method is so efficient, concise, and clear that you will expect other teachers to be as great. But they aren't. He is an very impartial grader. That's not to say you can SLACK OFF! Bottom line: great chemistry teacher ever, those who put forth the effort will be rewarded.
Nicholson is bar none the great chemistry prof. at NEIU. He is ALWAYS available at al hours to help students out. He simplifies everything and refuses to move on from a topic until everyone understands. He's a great guy who really loves his students
Very impartial and generous teacher. Available, flexible, and very responsive! His quirky personality is incredibly hillarious and endearing - he made v-difficult material fascinating and fun. Well-organised, clear direction, and many opportunities to earn great grades. This is the class where you need a great work ethic, persistence, and solid study skills.
Great prof., took a really difficult class and made it fun. Lab was two times a week, but you look forward to going. Really understanding when it comes to grading exam, curves. Gets back to emails right away, and is always there to help. Highly recomend |
