Man on the Street
How do you feel about the job President Obama has done as President? What would you like to see from the next
administration regardless to whether President Barack Obama gets a second term or not.
"The next administration should turn to politics rather than fighting one another. They should actually get things done instead of trying to hurt the other party. And Jet packs. We want jet packs."
-Zach Franks, Senior, English Major
"He could've done more but it's not his fault most of his plans were put down by the republicans. It's sad that neither Congress nor the Senate wanted to back him up. The situation the country is in is not entirely his fault even though he promised all these things that he didn't do. The economy and immigration should be a priority for the next administration, but that will take a while.
Maritza Roman, Junior, Social Work Major
"Obama was not really good. I think he has been trying hard but there's still a lot to do. There are so many things he could have done. An immigration reform needs to happen in the next administration. There has to be a solution for the immigrant community that works so hard, pays taxes and improves our economy even though they don't have rights."
Andrea Contreras, Senior, Spanish Major
"A lot of people are disappointed at what he accomplished compared to what he promised. But overall I think he is a good president. The next administration should do more for the immigration issue and not be so harsh." -Christian Esquivel, Freshman, undecided
"For what has been happening, he is doing a good job. He has provided jobs. Overall, he's done well. The next administration should focus on job security. There is not one job in the U.S. that's secure right now."
David Bush, Alumni, Communications Major
