Out on a school night

The Grafton Irish Pub and Grill, located on 4530 N. Lincoln Ave. in the Lincoln Square strip, is a perfect refuge from the hectic city life. Located about two and a half miles from the main NEIU campus, the Grafton offers customers a cozy warm atmosphere and a delicious selection of comfort food.

Named after the world famous shopping street in Dublin, The Grafton offers a delightful collection of Irish and American cuisine.  Highly recommended is their Grafton burger, a juicy half-pound burger made with your choice of USDA ground sirloin and placed between unique homemade pretzel buns.  Its menu also offers interesting Irish dishes like Molloy’s Meatloaf, Homemade Beef and Guiness Stew, and the Ploughman’s Lunch, a traditional platter of crusty baguette, Dubliner cheddar, branston’s pickle, tomato, red onion, green apple and green salad.

On top of a very appealing menu, it goes without saying that this Irish pub carries an appealing assortment of drafts, imported and domestic beer.  Reasonably priced, a meal at The Grafton will cost you around $13-$16.

If you are looking for a great place to relax and de-stress after a tough day of exams, The Grafton offers open mic nights and live Irish sessions throughout the week, adding to its comfortable and authentic Irish atmosphere.  Their website, www.thegrafton.com, posts a monthly calendar of their nightly entertainment schedule.  All in all, this cozy Irish pub and grill will leave you satisfied and in good spirits.
