Are you tired of the same old games that have you shooting at virtual enemies, racing fantasy cars that you know you won’t ever get to drive or playing 3-D games that only make you dizzy? Don’t you just wish there was some sort of video game that made you want to get up and start moving? If your answer is yes, then you’ll be glad to know that there is a video game series out for just that reason.
Published by Ubisoft, “Just Dance 3″was released on Oct. 7 of this year for Wii and Xbox, with an upcoming December release date for the PS3 as the fourth”Just Dance” game in the series. I love my Wii more than the other systems I have but for a while my Wii was neglected due to a lack of good games. I personally like to play one-player games for the most part but I enjoy a good multi-player game as well. Seeing as how the only multi-player games for the Wii were “Mario Kart” and the “Mario Party” series, I was in desperate need of a good game.
But it wasn’t until this past New Years Eve that I caught the dancing fever that would keep me sweating and wanting more. I played “Just Dance 2” at a friend’s house that night and, to be honest, I spent more time dancing and laughing than I did socializing. A few weeks after, I went out and bought my own game so I could dance to my heart’s desire.
Seeing as how much I loved dancing “Just Dance 2,” I rented “Just Dance Summer Party” only to be let down. I didn’t really like the summer edition’s song choices or graphics; for a summer edition, it just seemed to totally miss the summer mark. However, my love for “Just Dance” was ignited all over again when I saw the teaser for “Just Dance 3.”
“Just Dance 3″has song choices that include Duck Sauce’s “Barbra Streisand,” LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Pump It” and Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You,” to name a few. “Just Dance 3” had some new add-ons that the other games did not, such as Dance Mash-Ups and Dance Crew, as well as a more versatile song selection ranging from pop, rock, electric and oldies.
While I love the new additions, I also love the fact that “Just Dance 3” still has the “sweat” program, which is like a fitness program that allows you to choose how much you want to dance over the course of a week.
Overall, “Just Dance 3″is the best in the “Just Dance” series because of its awesome new upgrades, versatile song selection and “sweat” program—which goes way beyond the average video game involvement. I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves to dance, is looking for a fun way to entertain guests and enjoys playing single-player or multi-player games regardless of their system. So, get up and get ready to have fun dancing those calories away!
