After a one-day delay, the NEIUport is now online. The portal will provide each user a customizable homepage.
Users will log on using the same username and password that is used for NEIU webmail and used for making printouts in the computer labs.
Director of Public Relations Erica Kreible said that within two years, students will be able to register for classes. Administration officials have also said that eventually notices will be sent to a student’s page when certain benchmarks occur, such as missing a payment for tuition. The portal will continue to receive upgrades and new features.
The page currently has tabs and links to NEIU webmail, information and links to navigate university services and has listings of campus events.
