Long time Board of Trustees member and Chairperson Nancy Masterson announced her resignation in Apr.
On Apr. 10 Walter W. Dudycz was elected by the Board to replace Masterson as Chair. Jin Lee was elected as Vice Chair. Carlos Azcoitia was on the ballot for both Chair and Vice Chair but was elected to the position of Secretary.
Masterson was appointed to the board during the Gov. Jim Edgar era. She has sat on the Board under three different university presidents, Gordon Lamb, Salme Harju Steinberg and the current Sharon K. Hahs.
“You have been the most approachable president,” said Masterson to Hahs, fighting back tears of appreciation in the Apr. 10 meeting. Masterson thanked the Board for her experience.
